poem - time 2 (death)

death's
patient advocate
is
time

Death's
patient advocate
leaves us cold
time steps from
a black car and
speaks of this
whole life of
ice cream and
green limes.

Death's patience
advocates life's old
time clefts in
black memories
no longer whole
cream green
cheese goals.

Death's favorite
advocate sees
revolution in
deterioration of
wars in marked
consideration of
time in life
earth's shoals.

Death's
patient advocate
time.

poem - Easter Week flood

flooding
both sides
water
meetsflood poem 1

Thornton Creek (Flood I)

A creek… it was called Thornton

After a time to play I took

To climb down a steep bank

Only once I walked with dry feet

Years ago through

A tunnel beneath the street

That much water gushed later

I passed on the way to school

Flooding both sides, water meets

un-church post on Palm Sunday

...how to be an
un-pastor or live
in a circle of un-leaders,
whose actions look like coordinationrather than oversight

Been dealing and asking questions about various unchurch options and necessities. The thing I guess I 'm working on in some sense is how to be an "un-pastor" or live in a circle of un-leaders, whose actions look like coordination rather than oversight (bishopric) and hierarchy. All that and still 'lead' my own life of following someone whom I have chosen as my best understanding of the divine will... (gobbldegook? a band name?)

photogenic posts - Sonoma

Went away for a weekend and it threw off all my "extracurricular" activities. Here are a couple shots from within, or near, the 'mansion' in which we stayed.
Sometimes a nearby stable, thousands of dollars of wine (along the barrel tasting way), and very nice conversation can't make up for the very strong sense that the Sonoma landscape is populated with a culture of MINE (of I WILL get mine)...

UnChurch - Justice definitions

Unchurch
definitions:
justice
no mean things happen

Some kids were asked a question this past Sunday,
What does justice mean?

Here is a couple of the few things they answered:
courage,
respecting people,
no mean things happen

band names - bugs

...band names
children
recipes mandolin
reading and travel stapled and taped

I was looking at a new calendar Exquisite Creatures, by Christopher Marley, and have to submit some more buggy band names:

Jeweled Scarab -- a good little bug

Shield Bug -- foul smelling, but pretty

Javanikei -- (paraphrase) of wood boring beetle

Circulion -- (paraphrase) of a weevil found in New Guinea, another borer

Seram beetle -- there's a larval form that devastates host trees
